Zespri Health & Safety Scholarship 2018 for the Bachelor of Health Science (Occupational Safety and Health)

Are you passionate about the health and safety of New Zealanders? Have a personal vision for the growth of health and safety awareness in New Zealand?

Then you’re just the type of person our industries need. To get behind New Zealand’s next generation of health and safety leaders, Zespri International Limited are offering a three year scholarship to students wishing to study towards the Massey University Bachelor of Health Science (Occupational Safety and Health) academic programme.

Students enrolled in Year One (2018) of the Bachelor of Health Science (Occupational Safety and Health) are invited to apply. Read below to find out more.

What it includes

  • NZ $5,000 contribution per annum towards course related costs or/and academic fees for a total period of three years (2018 – 2020) for students completing the Massey Bachelor of Health Science (Occupational Safety and Health).

Who should apply?

A successful candidate for the scholarship would demonstrate the following application criteria:

  • Be a New Zealand Citizen or a New Zealand Permanent Resident.
  • Meet Massey University’s admission criteria for the Bachelor of Health Science (OSH).
  • Have registered in full-time tertiary study for the Massey University Bachelor of Health Science (Occupational Safety and Health) by 28 February 2018. (Evidence of enrolment confirmation will be requested).
  • Demonstrate passion and a personal vision for the growth of health and safety awareness in New Zealand. (See ‘How to Apply’ below).
  • Following the awarding of the Scholarship, be willing to contribute to the promotion of horticultural health and safety.

How to apply

Applicants will need to provide:

  • 250 word essay on why New Zealand should be passionate about better health & safety.
  • 250 word essay on where and how you plan to add value to New Zealand health & safety following your achievement of the Bachelor of Health Science (Occupational Safety and Health).
  • (optional), evidence of related health & safety activities delivered within an NZ industry/ community group.
