ZESPRI Proud to Recognise Service to Export

Media Release - 26 June 2010

As New Zealand’s largest horticultural exporter, with export earnings of $1.07 billion, ZESPRI was thrilled to present Graeme Boyd, Managing Director of Boyd Insight Limited, with the ZESPRI Service to Export Award at the Bay of Plenty Export Awards held in Tauranga last night.

The award, which is in its second year, recognises someone who has made a significant contribution to exporting in the Bay of Plenty.

Graeme was the General Manager Operations for Bay of Plenty-based global mower design and manufacturing company Trimax Mowing Systems before starting his own management consulting company – Boyd Insights. He is a member of the Priority One Executive Board, and was previously the Chief Executive Officer of rapidly-growing specialised honey exporter, Comvita.

Judges comments highlighted Graeme’s involvement in, and commitment to, the Bay of Plenty export community and his proven track record of working with export companies and growing them to another level with his sound thinking and clear minded approach to putting in strong management foundations and systems.

ZESPRI’s General Manager Supply Chain, Sally Gardiner, who was one of the judges for the award, said it was a privilege for ZESPRI to sponsor such a prestigious award being presented to such a deserving recipient.

“Graham’s talent and passion for business growth has made a valuable impact within the Bay of Plenty Export community,” she said.
