In 1995 ZESPRI introduced an integrated pest management system called KiwiGreen. This encourages growers to use natural weed and pest control methods, minimising the use of artificial sprays on the orchard. Most recently, we have been focusing on understanding the carbon footprint of ZESPRI® Kiwifruit to prioritise initiatives to reduce the number of pesticides used.
