Slow Steaming

Reducing ship's speed by 2km/h lowers diesel use by 17%, this is already happening at certain points of the season.

Hubbing and Routing

Ensuring that shippings routes and distribution hubs are optimised for freight efficiencies without compromising fruit quality or customer service.

Carbon Efficiency Study

A study currently underway comparing the relative efficiency of reefer and container vessels.

Bio-Diesel

Using a mixture of bio-diesel and diesel (20 / 80) with feasibility work underway.
