Want to learn how kiwifruit gets from the orchard to your plate? My friend Paul the Packer is here to show you!
Well Kiwi Bee, when the kiwifruit is picked it is put into big boxes...
I can’t lift these boxes because they are too heavy, but my forklift can. It puts all the boxes into my truck for me and I drive them to my packhouse.
This is where my friends and I make sure that all the kiwifruit is perfect! We pick out all the bad ones so you don’t have to eat them and I put stickers on all the good ones so I know which ones are which!
Then my friends and I put all the kiwifruit into ZESPRI® boxes and put them into trucks. These trucks take the kiwifruit all over New Zealand and the world to supermarkets where your Mum or Dad can buy them!
Some of the ZESPRI® Kiwifruit are kept in my really big fridge for later, so I never run out
