Golden Ice Cream

Ingredients



  • 6 egg yolks
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup gin
  • 4 cups cream
  • 6 ZESPRI® GOLD Kiwifruit

Directions


 

1. Whisk the room temperature yolks with the sugar, using an electric mixer, until pale yellow in colour. Add the gin slowly. Pour the cream into the egg mixture and whisk until slightly thickened
2. In another bowl purée the ZESPRI® GOLD Kiwifruit pulp. Fold the pulp into the egg / gin / cream mixture. Freeze in a covered container
3. You do not need an ice-cream machine to make this. If you do not have one, remove the ice-cream before it sets completely, stir well and refreeze
