Pork Steak with ZESPRI® GREEN Kiwifruit


Ingredients



  • 1 pork steak
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 leek
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 onion
  • 3 ZESPRI® GREEN Kiwifruit
  • 1 medium glass of sweet white wine
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 medium glass of cognac
  • Water
  • Pepper and salt

Pork Steak with ZESPRI® GREEN Kiwifruit
 

Directions


 

1. Season and fry the pork steak in a stew together with a dash of oil, the bay leaf and the two cloves of garlic
2. Cut the carrot, leek and tomato and add a glass of water to the dish. Allow to boil for 20 minutes
3. Shred the onion and dice the ZESPRI® GREEN Kiwifruit. Simmer on very low heat. Add the white wine. Stir carefully until a sauce is obtained
4. Purée the vegetables by means of a colander and add a tablespoon of mustard to the sauce. Mix well until again a sauce is obtained
5. Cut the pork steak into pieces and serve with the two sauces
