Growers encourage beneficial plants, birds and insects. The native plants planted around the perimeter of the orchard play an important role in attracting the native birds and bees and detracting unwanted insects from the orchard.

Nourishing soil that is abundant in life, including aerating and nutrient‑boosting earthworms, is the foundation of a thriving organic orchard. Our organic growers test the soil every year to see if it is in need of a nutrient boost and when needed only organic certified inputs like ground mussel shells or seaweed are added to enrich the soil.
